Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead character in Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway show "Pippin". It was directed by Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus, and also featuring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina has put her own contemporary version of the award-winning Ben Vereen's role and did a great job at mastering the Fosse moves that are so important to the show. Patina's performance earned her a Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well to her for Outstanding Actress. The previous part she was in was the Lead Player on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin", from December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
